Pathologies
Hand and wrist pathologies manifest themselves as pain, limited mobility or loss of hand strength, which can have a significant impact on quality of life.
Thumb arthritis
Thumb arthritis means wear and tear of the cartilage at the base of the thumb, leading to severe pain and reduced mobility, making everyday movements difficult.
Carpal tunnel
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs through the wrist, is compressed, causing tingling, numbness and weakness in the hand.
Wrist fracture
A wrist fracture often occurs following a fall on the hand, causing pain, swelling and deformity of the wrist. Clinical and radiological diagnosis help to guide the treatment.
Dupuytren’s disease
Dupuytren’s disease causes progressive thickening of palm tissue, leading to knots and thick cord of tissue beneath the skin of the palm or permanent retraction of fingers, particularly the ring and little fingers. Treatment is required when the patient can no longer lay the hand flat.
Trigger finger
Trigger finger is a condition where one or more fingers become stuck in a bent position and then suddenly snap straight, like a spring. It is caused by inflammation of the flexor tendon, often due to repetitive movements or excessive friction. Treatment can be either medical or surgical, depending on the severity of the discomfort.

Medical treatments
Medical treatments include occupational therapy, custom-made splints, infiltrations and light therapy. They help relieve pain and improve function, before surgery or in post-operative recovery.
Custom splint
The Custom Splint is designed to immobilize or support the hand and wrist, relieving pain and promoting recovery from fractures, sprains and surgery.
Light therapy
Using specially adapted lights, light therapy helps reduce inflammation in chronic hand and wrist pathologies, eases pain and promotes tissue regeneration.
Infiltrations
Corticosteroid infiltrations are used to treat inflammation and relieve pain associated with hand and wrist pathologies such as rhizarthrosis, carpal tunnel syndrome or club finger.
Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy helps to restore mobility and functionality to the hand and wrist after injury or pathology, using adapted exercises and rehabilitation techniques.

Hand & wrist surgery
When conservative treatments are not enough, surgery can treat nerve compression, stabilize fractures and relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis, to restore hand function.
Thumb arthroplasty
Thumb arthroplasty involves replacing the worn joint at the base of the thumb with a prosthesis, to eliminate pain and restore thumb mobility.
Carpal tunnel surgery
Carpal tunnel surgery involves freeing the median nerve by opening the ligament that compresses it, thus relieving pain and numbness in the hand.
Wrist fracture surgery
The aim of this procedure is to realign the fractured bones of the wrist and fix them in place with plates, thus stabilizing the fracture and ensuring proper healing.
Dupuytren surgery
Dupuytren’s surgery removes or transects thickened tissue in the palm and fingers, to straighten the fingers affected by this contracture.
Protruding finger surgery
The aim of this procedure is to free the tendons trapped in the digital sheath, enabling the finger to regain fluid movement without blockage or pain.
