Making an appointment

Appointments at the Leman Hand Clinic are made mainly by telephone. Our highly experienced clinic manager, Nadège, listens to your needs and ensures that every patient receives the attention they require.

Due to high demand, we select patients according to medical priorities. This ensures that those requiring urgent or specialized care are attended to as quickly as possible.
Once your appointment has been confirmed, our team will guide you every step of the way.

Consultation procedure

Before your 1st consultation, please fill in the administrative form by clicking here and, if possible, send it to us by email at: hand-clinic@svmed-hin.ch (encrypted messaging).

Please bring your insurance card with you to your 1st consultation. In the event of an accident, please notify your employer as soon as possible and give us the claim number as soon as possible.

From the moment you arrive at the Leman Hand Clinic, we make it a point of honour to offer you a warm, personalized welcome. After completing the administrative formalities, you’ll be directed to our waiting room, designed with your comfort in mind. We know your time is precious, so we strive to keep waiting time to a minimum.

First consultation

Your first consultation is a key step in your journey, as is the meeting with your surgeon. If necessary, X-rays can be taken on site, thanks to our modern equipment. The results are available immediately, enabling an accurate diagnosis and prompt treatment. In some cases, a cortisone infiltration may be performed during the consultation, to provide immediate pain relief.

Planning surgical treatment

If surgery is required, your surgeon will take the time to explain the procedure in detail, the steps to follow, and the precautions to take before and after the operation. An operation date will be set according to your availability and the complexity of the case, either at the Leman Hand Clinic, the Nyon hospital or the Clinique de Genolier, for patients requiring a hospital stay.

Rehabilitation and post-operative follow-up

Following surgery, rehabilitation often plays a crucial role in your recovery. As early as the first consultation, we’ll discuss post-operative follow-up, the need for occupational therapy sessions or custom-made splints. Elise Marenghi, our occupational therapist and osteopath, will work with you to optimize your recovery and restore your hand’s mobility. Thanks to her skills, she will provide comprehensive care and guide you through personalized exercises to facilitate your recovery. She is also an expert in custom-made splints for all upper limb pathologies.

The Leman Hand Clinic team takes care of everything, from A to Z, so you can concentrate on your recovery. Our approach is designed to minimize waiting and maximize results, because your health and satisfaction are our priorities.
